Vestibule – Through the Surface

Vestibule is an alternative rock band based in New Jersey, featuring Hector Gundlach on vocals and guitar, Greg Harvilla on drums, Cody McCorry on bass, and Adam DeRose on lead guitar. After two years of writing and one year of recording, the band released their debut album “Through the Surface” on December 29th, 2011.

“Through the Surface” is really diverse – its obvious early on that the band tried to do something different that would make them stand out. With poetic lyrics to get you thinking as well as cool guitar work and vocals that sound reminiscent of groups like Incubus and even Foo Fighters, you can’t really go wrong. There are a few parts where notes are off and the vocals are either a little shaky or just don’t really blend well with the instrumentals. But hey – this is a new band. For a debut album, its pretty darn good and one you should definitely check out. The band are generously offering it for FREE on bandcamp!
